A Corner of Eden
A Corner of Eden is surrounded by magnificent countryside, nestled between the Howgills and Wildboar Fell, just north of Sedbergh. The Georgian Farmhouse has been recently renovated to retain original features whilst providing the height of luxury. With sumptuous fabrics, cosy fires, great locally sourced food and fine wines it is the perfect place to relax. Breakfasts are cooked on the Aga and with fresh coffee, steaming hot tea and hot buttered toast give that great start to the day. Later on you can help yourself from the Butler's Pantry, which is supplied with homemade bread, cakes and teabread, fruit, cheese and chutney, tea and coffee. There is also a well stocked 'honesty bar' which adds to that extra feeling of being somewhere special. Whether your interests are in local history, nature, outdoor activities or sampling the delights of the local pubs there is always something to keep you amused. Ashes Barn
Great care is taken with the quality of food that is provided for guests. Much of this is cooked on the kitchen's Aga, including home made bread, biscuits and cakes. Wherever possible use is made of quality local Lake District produce.
In the winter Gillian runs tailor made Aga cookery breaks, which are ideal for those new to the Aga or experienced enthusiasts alike!

Bowber Head
Warm, friendly, 16th century farmhouse with old beams and open fires, an old black range in the dining room and old ticking clocks. Set in beautiful open countryside with panoramic views of Wild Boar and the Howgills. Choice of fantastic Aga cooked breakfasts or help yourself to a ?buffet? style continental one. All modern facilities. Great walking. Feeling remote yet with easily accessed. We are centrally placed to explore the Lakes, Dales, Borders. We are only ½ mile from the nearest pub/restaurant. We also operate vintage coaches and during the summer you can stay at Bowber Head and have a trip on Tuesday (market day) to the market town of Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales. Included is a guided talk about the history and culture of this wonderful area.

Coldbeck House
Coldbeck House was originally Georgian, built circa 1820 then later converted to a Victorian gentleman's residence. The house is full of light, with lovely views - either over the garden or the village. There are many unique and special features in and around the house - especially some splendid examples of Victorian stained and coloured glass. The 2 acre grounds can be explored via woodland paths and garden enthusiasts will find a wealth of interesting plants and specimen trees to identify and a small bog garden on the site of the monastery fish pond!
On your arrival you will be welcomed with a cup of tea and home made cake or biscuits by the log burning stove in the sitting room or, during the summer months, beside the croquet lawn in the garden.
Belle has had many years experience in welcoming guests: in 1991 at Crayke Castle she won the Johansens Award of Excellence, in 1993 she achieved the English Tourist Board?s accolade of the Best Bed and Breakfast in England and in 2007 was awarded a gold accolade by Visit Britain to go with the 5 stars.. Far End Farm
Far End Farm is set in the high, narrow valley of Garsdale in the Yorkshire Dales, with views of the stunning Settle-Carlisle Railway, this is an ideal base to explore the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District National Park. Recently restored and renovated, it combines a wealth of original features with all the comforts of a modern home, in which we are able to provide self-catering or bed and breakfast accommodation.

Oakdene Country House
Oakdene is situated just one mile from Sedbergh with spectacular views of the local countryside, in particular the Howgill Fells. The house was built in the 1800s and is full of character, containing many of its original victorian features. The traditional feel of the property is maintained with high ceilings, open fires and a large oak staircase.

Smithy Fold
Smithy Fold dates back to the 17th century and is set in large grounds, with ample off road parking, you are welcome to use the gardens to sit and relax in and soak up the peace and tranquillity. The hens will come to visit you, and the wild life is there in abundance, the beautifully coloured Greater Spotted Woodpeckers will normally make their presence known if you are quiet along with squirrels, mistle thrushes and every one else!
The beds can be organised so as to allow us 3 doubles, 2 twins and 1 double, or 1 double, 1 twin and 1 family room.
We do not offer ensuite facilities as we feel that this would detract from the spacious and well-appointed rooms which are furnished with good quality antiques.

St Mark's
St. Mark's. was built in 1872 as the vicarage for Cautley Church and now a Listed Building. The house enjoys a magnificent setting and represents a convenient base for visiting the many other attractions of the Yorkshire Dales, Cumbria and the the Lake District.
All rooms have en suite facilities, 3 of which are bathrooms.
St. Mark's is the home of Creative Leisure Textile Courses and is also an ideal venue for conferences, seminars, training events, family reunions and more recently a wedding. There are a number of rooms for group meetings and the usual range of audio visual aids. Being easily accessible yet away from everyday distractions, allows undisturbed confidential discussion to take place throughout both day and evening at Saint Mark's.

Stouphill Gate
Stouphill Gate is a traditional old Cumbrian farmstead, and the holiday accommodation has been formed from the older parts of the property retaining much of the original character whilst benefiting from all of the modern conveniences.
Guests can relax in the quiet lounge, which is located in the main farmhouse, thumbing through a book by the cosy heating stove or plan the next days activities using the leaflets and guide books on the shelves. There is a also cupboard with games and jigsaws for those so inclined. This room is also where you will be greeted with cake and a beverage on arrival and where a hearty Aga cooked breakfast is served in the mornings. The home made bread and jams are a real treat.
Stouphill Gate has been recommended in the "Hidden Guide to the Lake District and Cumbria", published by Travel Publishing Ltd, as part of their Hidden Places of Britain Series. Only one holiday cottage/bed & breakfast establishment is chosen for each of the areas these guides cover and Stouphill Gate is the recommended choice for the Upper Eden area.
Evening meals are available in all three local pubs, the closest is within walking distance. and Kirkby Stephen with its fish & chip shops, pubs etc is only five miles away.

The Cross Keys
The Cross Keys is a 400 year old National Trust Temperance Inn. Situated at the base of Cautley Spout, in the heart of the Howgills.
There is a small farmhouse style restaurant which serves daytime meals every day except Monday and evening meals Wednesdays to Saturdays. All food is home cooked and usually prepared using fresh local produce.Booking is essential for evening meals.
Alcohol is not available on the premises to buy but you are most welcome to bring your own. Corkscrews and glasses are available and there is no charge for corkage.

The Head at Middleton
The Head is everything you would expect an English country pub to be. Fine food, open fires and a rustic bar with a fine selection of real ales and malts. The Head also has extensive gardens with seating areas.
Our comfortable en-suite bedrooms are furnished with double and single beds, direct dial telephone, remote control television (with teletext), tea and coffee making facilities, duvets, towels and complimentary toiletries.
